great impact on Plato's world-view.
It is not known to what extent Socrates was involved
in the Pythagorean mathematical tradition,
or if Plato's inserted his own knowledge of it into
his dialogues using the voice of Socrates.
Whatever the case Plato immortalized
this tradition in his dialogues.
